Today's runs was a easy run where i ran up on the east side of Pocatello, mostly on American road. I was really shocked as I looked at my watch at the one mile mark. It felt very comfortable to run at about an 8:12 pace. Miles 2-3 I really just took the chance to enjoy the scenery. The road was covered in melting snow so, luckily I didn't have to deal with slipping and sliding.
Coming down buckskin I was really trying to hold back but looked at my watch and saw my pace sub 7 min/mile which was fine because the effort was still easy. Of course, I didn't push things heading back up to the hospital where I finished today run.
I also should mention that the wife and I have started a new "diet" (she refuses to call it a diet). Today's meals are basically waffles for breakfast with some turkey sausage, a burrito for lunch with cheese and crackers for a morning snack and a protein bar for my afternoon snack.
